How to volunteer

Do you love people and pets? You came to the right place. Phinney’s Friends needs help in so many areas. We can help you find the right opportunities for you. You can work with people and pets, or do creative, administrative and planning work, too.

Activities

Here are some of the volunteer tasks we offer:

  • Cat services – Visit clients to take care of their pets when they can’t. You may clean their cats’ litter box, trim cats’ nails, feed them.
  • Dog walking – Big or small, we have a dog the size you are comfortable with for you to walk.
  • Small animal services – Would you like to keep a ferret’s cage clean? Or maybe help a mouse keep his place in order? We may be able to accommodate you.
  • Administrative assistant – If you enjoy tasks like filing, mailing, photocopying, we need you!
  • Pet paparazzi – Do you have writing skills? Do you have expertise in photography or any marketing and communications activities? We have a place for you in our volunteer program.
  • Special events squad – Help us fund raise and come up with great events!
  • Food delivery – Do you have some time off and car? Many of our clients need to have food delivered for their pets.
  • Give me a task wherever the need is greatest!
